I recently posted a canoe for sale with RICKA and received the following response. Obviously RICKA is being monitored by the so-called "Nigerian Scammers". It might well be wise to post a warning to RICKA members.

The scam is simple. Brandon says he is owed money by a client for an undelivered order. The client will give me a check for much more than my price for the canoe and I am asked to send a check for the difference to Brandon. Then the bank advises that the phony check won't clear and I am responsible for the difference that was sent to Brandon.
